Xbox 360 Getting A Fantasy Action RPG Powered By Gamebryo
The Xbox 360 may soon become RPG haven with another action RPG descending upon the console. A newly launched studio titled “Xavaint” had posted these bunch of job openings on Gamasutra, detailing an action adventure RPG game specifically for the Xbox 360.
“Xaviant is looking to hire a Lead Game Designer/3D Environment Artist/3d EffectsArtist/3D Character Artist/Character Animator to assist in the development of a new single player third person action adventure\RPG game (fantasy setting) for the Xbox 360 console.”
Their nifty flash site had a bunch of really abstract messages that detailed out the purpose of the company. The “Human relations” tab contains a press release detailing out the utilization of Gamebryo technology, here are a few excerpts from it -
“Xaviant a gaming software studio dedicated to the next generation of console games, has licensed Emergent’s Gamebryo. Gamebryo is a leading gaming engine and a suit of industry tool”
Xaviant CEO Michael Macain explains “When I started this project I knew we would need to partner with someone to get a good foundation for our 3d technology. From the start Gamebryo was the obvious choice for us. Using their product my team can focus on unique aspects of the Xaviant vision in creating the best possible game experience for that all important first title.”
The postings at Gamasutra clearly spell out that this all important first title is headed to the Xbox 360. However the question of this game being a 360 exclusive for 2009 can only be answered by time.
