Philippines raises $7.4 billion via retail treasury bond issue

MANILA: The Philippines has raised 420.45 billion pesos ($7.39 billion) from a retail bond offering that ended Sept. 2, National Treasurer Rosalia de Leon said Monday.

The peso-denominated personal notes due 2028, which pay a coupon of 5.75 percent, were the first issuance of its kind under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. They included an exchange offer for holders of existing notes issued this year and due in 2023.
